• IFM's undergraduate programs (BBA) typically span three years (six semesters).

• IFM's postgraduate programs (MBA) are designed to be completed in 1 academic year (two semesters).

• Bachelor & MBA courses are taught in English

No, IFM prioritizes in-person learning. However, your classroom experience is enhanced by our professional and collaborative digital platform, providing seamless support and additional learning resources.

IFM admissions / FAQ

We offer 2 intakes a year in October and March.

Students can submit their application before each start date. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. > next deadlines

International students without an EU passport should submit their complete file at least 3-4 months before the chosen intake.

3. Submit Your Application and pay the application fees.
4. Decision Within 10 Days: After verifying your eligibility, we will either extend an offer or inform you of an unsuccessful application.
5. Acceptance of Offer: To accept, fill out and email the final registration form. Then,  Pay the fees.

Most candidates are evaluated based on their application materials. However, IFM may invite candidates for an interview and reserves the right to reject those who decline. For international students, online interviews can be arranged.

BBA / Bachelor : The credit transfer request must be submitted at the time of application. The evaluation is based on offical transcripts, results, and course descriptions. Only successfully completed courses that align with IFM’s program may be

considered. Credit transfer is not automatic, as the approach and content of courses may vary. > more info


MBA / Maste
r : IFM does not accept credit transfers at the postgraduate level. 

What are the tuition fees? The cost of tuition varies depending on the program. You can find detailed information here > see information


International Students: Tuition fees for international students are the same as for local students.

What are the living costs in Geneva ?

This varies according to housing costs and your personal expenses. Information can be found in the international student section.

Does IFM offer scholarships or financial aid?

IFM is a private institution and offers a limited number of partial scholarships to eligible students. Students who need a scholarship or a loan to pay for their studies must make their request well before their planned entry to IFM.

IFM has an attractive location in the heart of Geneva in Switzerland. IFM is located in the university district, a lively, cultural and friendly neighborhood. Our campus is surrounded by parks, restaurants, cafés, art galleries, and museums. IFM is also 5mn away from the lake, the old town and and the the financial district. > IFM campus

Yes, IFM offers students a range of social activities, cultural events and get togethers, throughout the academic year. : ski trips, cocktail parties, theatre or cultural visits. International student / FAQ

The letter of admission does not allow you to obtain a visa or residence permit.


Please read the different steps below:

1. If you are accepted to the program, we will send you a letter of admission (offer) and your registration form.

2. If you wish to accept the offer, you must fill out the final registration form and send it back to us.

3. Pay the non-refundable registration and administrative fee as well as the advance tuition fees.

4. Then, we will send you the relevant visa support documentation and attestation of studies, 

1. Admissions requirements are the same for all students

The IFM admissions team has extensive experience with applications from around the world and each application is carefully analysed, considering results from other schools, professional experience, age etc.

2. Deadlines: International students with a non-EU passport, complete applications must be received at least 3-4 months before the chosen intake.

3. Financing: International students must show evidence of sufficient financial means (letter and/ or bank statement from guarantor’s bank) to study.


Note: International students do not need to have a guarantor residing in Switzerland to be considered for admissions. 

Only students with a valid European Union passport and a valid B permit can work partially (up to 15 hours/week) alongside their studies. Contact us for further info.

• International students must be enrolled as full-time, on-campus students and reside in Geneva to obtain a residence permit.


Are the tuition fees different for international students?

• Tuition fees for international students are the same as for local students.

• An additional administrative fee is charged to international students.

• However, international students must pay the full annual tuition at least 60 days before the start of the academic year.


Does IFM offer financial aid or scholarships to international students?

• IFM is a private business school and may offer a limited number of partial scholarships for international students.
